What this site is for
The problem it addresses
Hearing care providers in Malaysia are easy to find on a map but hard to compare. Opening hours, wheelchair access, the nearest station and published prices sit in different places, and some are missing altogether. This directory puts the facts that can be read from public pages side by side, one town at a time.
What it is not
It is not a medical service, a booking platform or a review of clinical quality. It does not tell you what is wrong with your hearing. Our guide to choosing a hearing care provider explains when to see a doctor first and what to ask a provider.
Where the data comes from
Collection steps
- We ran 7,540 Google Maps searches combining hearing-related terms with Malaysian towns and states.
- We read each result's public profile: name, category, address, phone, website, rating, review count, opening hours and accessibility attributes.
- We removed businesses outside Malaysia, businesses with no reviews, and businesses unrelated to hearing care, such as general clinics, hospitals, speech therapy and pharmacies.
- We kept hearing aid centres and audiologists, and removed pin-only listings with no address, phone or website that we could not confirm. 245 providers remain.
What each field means
| Field | Source | Limit |
|---|---|---|
| Name, address, phone | Google Business Profile | Entered by the business; can be out of date |
| Rating and review count | Google reviews | Patient opinion, not clinical quality |
| Opening hours | Google Business Profile | 28 of 245 listings show none |
| Wheelchair access | The clinic's own Google profile | Not inspected by us |
| Nearest station | data.gov.my GTFS and map coordinates | Straight line, within 2 km only |
| Prices | The clinic's own website | 24 listings, each with a source link |
How listings are ordered and grouped
Ordering
Within a town, providers are sorted by number of Google reviews, then by star rating. Nothing else is used. The order is not a quality ranking or an endorsement, and a clinic with few reviews may be as good as one with many.
Small towns
A town with one provider is folded into the nearest town in the same state, up to 50 km away, so that each page lists at least two providers where possible. The page says which nearby towns it includes. Labuan, Bintulu and Jerteh stay on their own because no larger town in the same state is within 50 km.
Rating and review policy
We show Google's rating and review count as published and do not edit, hide or reweight them. We do not publish testimonials and we do not accept payment to change the order of listings.
How we handle prices
The reference range
The range of RM2,700 to RM19,000 per piece comes from one source: the Malaysian provider Hearing Partners, which writes that hearing aids generally cost between those figures. It is a provider's general statement, not a quote and not a survey.
Prices clinics publish
We show a price only when the clinic publishes it on its own website, with the item as the page words it and a link to the page. Where a page shows two prices without saying which is the regular price, we show both and say so. For every other clinic, the price is a written quote that you request.
What we do not verify
Professional registration
Under the Allied Health Professions Act 2016 (Act 774), audiologists register with the Malaysian Allied Health Professions Council (MAHPC). We do not check any listed person or business against the register. Ask the provider who will test your hearing and ask to see their registration or practising certificate.
Services and quality
We only know what a business says about itself on Google, so every listing is shown as a hearing aid provider and nothing more. We do not assess clinical outcomes.
Medical safety
If you lose hearing suddenly, or have ear bleeding, discharge, severe pain or dizziness, see a doctor or go to the emergency or ENT department of your nearest hospital instead of a hearing aid provider.
Update history
What changed and when
- 2026-10-21: provider data collected from Google Business Profile.
- 2026-10-22: small towns merged, clinic prices re-read from each clinic's website, nearest-station data and Sunday and Saturday opening counts added to every town page.
The date at the top of each page is the date the underlying data was last checked. We do not change it unless the data changes, so an old date means the data has not been re-collected, not that nothing was checked.
Corrections and listing requests
Report a mistake
Found a wrong phone number, address or opening hours? Email [email protected] with the page address and what should change.
Own a listed business
Each listing has a link to claim or correct it. Business owners can ask for a correction or removal by email, and we apply verified corrections in the next data update.
Questions about this directory
Can I book an appointment through audiologist.my?
No. This is a directory, not a booking platform. Use the phone number, WhatsApp link or website on each listing to contact the provider directly, and ask about the visit before you go.
Why is a clinic I know missing from the directory?
A business is left out if it has no Google reviews, has no address we could confirm, is a pin on the map with no phone or website, or is not listed on Google as a hearing aid store, audiologist or hearing aid repair service. If yours qualifies and is missing, email us the business name and town.
Can a clinic pay to be listed or to rank higher?
No. Listings come from public Google data and are ordered by review count and then rating. The site does not accept payment to add, remove or reorder a listing.
How often is the data updated?
The data is collected in batches rather than live. The date at the top of each page shows when it was last checked, and that date only changes when the data changes. We do not publish a fixed update schedule, so confirm hours and prices with the clinic.
Why does a town page include a clinic from another town?
Towns with a single provider are folded into the nearest town in the same state within 50 km, so that pages are not nearly empty. The parent page says which nearby towns it includes, and each listing shows its own address.
